The WMCA stands in unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza who are courageously resisting the ongoing settler colonial state of Israel. We mourn the loss of every life lost to the ongoing conflict and firmly acknowledge that the root of the violence in the region lies in the systemic and long-standing oppression inflicted upon Palestinians by the Israeli government and military.

For decades, the people of Gaza have endured unimaginable hardship, living under a suffocating blockade that has severely restricted access to basic necessities, including food, clean water, and medical supplies. The Israeli government's relentless military incursions and airstrikes have brought immense suffering, destruction, and loss of life to this already beleaguered region.

We unequivocally condemn the disproportionate use of force by Israeli authorities against Palestinians, which has led to countless casualties, including innocent civilians, children, and healthcare workers. The dire humanitarian situation in Gaza results from deliberate policies that undermine the dignity, rights, and well-being of its residents, and support the Palestinian people's acts of resistance in the face of a settler-colonist state.

We firmly believe in the right of every individual and community to live in peace, security, and freedom, regardless of their ethnicity, religion, or nationality. We recognize the importance of self-determination for the Palestinian people and their right to live free from occupation and oppression.
