"I'm running for the U.S. Senate to rebuild the middle class. Our industries are in crisis. Manufacturing is suffering. Our small family farmers are being squeezed out by large corporate monopolies. I want to make sure that the opportunity that I had growing up is available to every person in every county, in every ZIP code all across the state."
For United States Senate
"A strong and vibrant economy depends on modernized laws and regulations that reflect the needs of Main Street Americans. My bipartisan
bill, the Investment Adviser Regulatory Flexibility Improvement Act, does just that by requiring the Security and Exchange Commission to expand its outdated definition of a ‘small business’ to ensure that small, minority-owned, and women-run investment adviser firms are subject to regulations commensurate with their scale. This legislation will provide local adviser firms the relief they need to reinvigorate community-based economic growth."
For United States Representatve 4th Congressional District
"I've worked across party lines to get things done for our kids, and now as governor, I am working to build an economy that works for everyone, healthier communities, support for our kids and our schools, and better roads and infrastructure. I believe that every single person in our state deserves an equal opportunity to get ahead and that we must work together to change the direction of our state for the better."
"I’m running for Lieutenant Governor to be a partner to Governor Tony Evers. The agenda is simple. Let’s make sure all workers, whether we consider ourselves working class or middle-class, blue-collar or white-collar, can have family-supporting jobs with time for family, rest, and recreation. Let’s protect our shared values, keep our community safe, and make sure that every school is a great school. Let’s make sure everyone has access to the world’s best healthcare here in America. Let’s honor our democracy and those who fought for equality by uniting around the American values of dignity, respect, and opportunity."
“Today’s decision in Dobbs reverses that progress, taking us backward almost 50 years. It leaves women less free and at greater risk of suffering harm to their health during pregnancy. We must now turn to Congress, state courts, and state legislatures. Our office is reviewing today’s decision and will provide further information about how we intend to move forward next week. We are at a crossroads for the future of reproductive freedom and we need elected officials to step up and protect access to safe and legal abortion.”
“These tired, divide-and-conquer tactics consistently implemented by the majority party are on full display, but Wisconsin parents are not easily fooled. Our parents know that our public schools are the backbone of our communities and that their teachers are doing all they can for our kids. However, they are right to be frustrated by the actions of legislative Republicans, who have deliberately underfunded our schools, politicized the pandemic, and are trying to shift even more resources from public schools, directing them instead to unaccountable private voucher schools.”
State Senate 7th District
“I am running for State Assembly District 48 as a Democrat to create a Wisconsin that works for all people, not just a few. As I did in my campaign for the Madison Common Council, I will bring together a diverse group of individuals and communities and encourage all to share their perspectives. I will listen to these conversations and reflect what I’ve learned in my work as their representative. As a public servant and leader I am confident that together we can succeed and bring about the change we all aspire to. Let’s start working on the recovery of Wisconsin.”
State Assembly 48th District
"I have been dedicated to protecting the middle-class worker since my time in office. Much of my efforts have gone to blocking employment discrimination. I support labor unions, and I support the increase of minimum wages to a living wage. I believe to have a strong economy and a strong quality of life we need to support people through legislation that protects them and gives them the economic means to succeed."
State Assembly 20th District
"The percentage of general fund appropriations committed to local governments has been reduced over the last 25 years by 60%. The state budget this year has a close to $3 billion surplus. Wouldn’t it make sense to serve local taxpayers by reducing the property tax needed to increase security closest to home?"
State Assembly 82nd District
"What I am doing with my shock and outrage is campaigning harder for the needs of the 10th Assembly District of Wisconsin. If we are to have any success in moving forward to a safer, healthier, more equitable state for all citizens, it will be through broad coalitions of people who share these values. I have been building and standing alongside these types of coalitions and community organizations since age 9, and have seen progress. It is what I do because I believe in us."
State Assembly 10th District
"As a resident of Milwaukee County, I firmly believe that our government agencies need to be more efficient, as well as able to collaborate effectively to achieve the single most important goal of government. That is to provide SAFETY and create a path to PROSPERITY for all its residents. I don’t encourage "Re-inventing the wheel," but I say it's time we change the tires. As we pull into the polling stations for a pit stop on August 9th, 2022, I humbly ask for your support in changing the tires by voting Mohamed Awad for Milwaukee County Sheriff."
